Birth Session – Birth Photographer Gold Coast

birth photographer gold coast

Birth photography is so incredibly unique and I can’t even begin to express the joy it brings to photograph another woman during her most powerful, yet vulnerable moment. The day your baby enters the world is the single most amazing day of your life; it’s the raw, emotional journey where you are no longer just a woman…you are a mother.

Q: What is birth photography?
A: Birth photography is a documentary of you’re little one’s entrance into this world. It includes labour, the delivery, those first sweet moments, the newborn examination and first meetings (with family/friends – if you are having visitors soon after the birth).

Having a birth photographer takes the pressure off the dad/support person, and allows them to focus completely on the birthing mother (the way it should be!).

Q: What’s included?
A: My on call time ~ 2 weeks before & 2 weeks after your due date

My time at your birth (I will come when you are ready for me in active labour)
Travel within the Gold Coast/Tweed area to the hospital/birth centre (or your home if you’re having a home birth)
My editing time & anywhere from 50-150 professionally edited, high resolution images (in a range of both black & white and colour)

Your chosen printed product/s
Web enhanced and watermarked images for social media

All of your digital image filse on K&B Photography’s custom USB

Q: When do we need to book?
A: As I am limited to the number of births I can photograph, it is best to book early to avoid disappointment. I suggest booking in before your third trimester, however there will be occasions that I can fit you in at short notice. If you are interested in having your birth photographed, please get in touch as soon as possible.

Q: Are there instances that you won’t be able to attend my birth?
A: There will be occasions that I may not make it to your birth. I will do everything I can to ensure I make it to your birth, however, if I cannot make it, I will arrive as soon as possible to capture those first moments, while things are still very fresh. If I or my husband and/or children are sick, I will not come to your birth. The last thing I want to do is bring my germs to the hospital to possibly pass on to your brand new baby. I will discuss this possibility with you further, and explain possible alternatives if this was to happen.

Please contact us us if you’d like to discuss our birth photography sessions further.
